Realizations
In January 2004, the foreseen computer architecture has been presented in Bern.
Then in September 2004, the suggested solution was carried out and presented in Bern. This architecture was articulated around the standard software provided by GBIF International, allowing the integration of the format Darwin Core.
To date the following tasks have been achieved:
- Purchase and installation of a server under Linux
- Installation of an Oracle 9i database
- Integration trials of data from the Natural History Museum of Neuchâtel.
- Installation of standard GBIF packages (Digir Provider, GBIF Portal Toolkit, GBIF Dated repository Tools, DiGIR Portal)
- Importation and integration trials of data sets, presented as text and Excel formats.
Since December 2004, a recast of the software infrastructure is in progress permitting the integration of the ABCD format
(BioCASE project).
